Cutting the unnecessary shoots of Mavrodaphne

Yesterday we finished "shoot-thinning"of Mavrodaphne, which means that we cut all the unnecessary shoots. The aim of this summer pruning is:

  1. Keep the chosen form of the vines
  2. Improve-correct winter pruning
  3. Create a balance between vegetative-productive parts
  4. Ameliorate the micro-climate inside plants
